Unrestricted - Heavy Rigid (HR) Course Summary

 

 

 

Heavy Vehicle Driver Training Newcastle This option is for participants who need an unrestricted HR licence. Training is conducted in a vehicle fitted with a manual gear box (also known as a Road Ranger).

At the completion of this training and assessment program students will be able to obtain their unrestricted Heavy Rigid vehicle licence. Training and assessment in a road ranger generally takes 2 days (approximately 17 hours) to complete depending on student competency.

Upon successful completion the student will be able to obtain an unrestricted HR licence and be able to drive HR trucks licence with any transmission type (auto, synchromesh, or constant mesh transmission). Training and assessment takes place in our vehicle which uses a nine (9) speed Road Ranger constant mesh transmission.

Who is this course for?

A Heavy Rigid (HR) licence is a legal requirement for any person who wishes to drive a rigid truck with three (3) or more axles.
