LIGHT RIGID (LR) CLASS LICENCE | LR Licence Sydney


Light Rigid (LR) class licence allows you to drive

    Any motor vehicle more than 4.5 tonnes GVM but no more than 8 tonnes GVM.
    Any single towed trailer with a GVM not greater than 9 tonnes.
    Also includes any vehicle with a GVM of no more than 8 tonnes which carries more than 12 adults including the driver.

 

 

 

 

Note: There are no restrictions on the number of axles for this class of licence

    Also includes vehicles in Class C.

LR Licence Newcastle

LR Licence Newcastle students must hold a current Victorian car drivers licence. Students must have held an Australian car drivers licence for at least 12 months. Students must provide proof of identity. Students must have confidence in driving a manual vehicle. Students must have stued the Vic Roads Truck and Bus Handbook.



A light rigid vehicle is one that can carry only 12 adults, including the driver, and has a load capacity of 4.5 tonnes GVM to 8 tonnes GVM.
To obtain a light rigid vehicle licence, you must first go through road training with an expert instructor who will teach you how to drive the vehicle safely on the road.

Pass an eyesight test,

Pay the new licence fee.
